Happy Fall!
Hello parents, families, children and more. I invite you to enjoy the great weather and the start of a brand new season. October is here, and in the Northern Hemisphere, that means the beauty and excitement of falling leaves, chilling weather, and our beloved holiday time.
No one can ever make changes to that, no matter how hard they try. However, there is one thing that we all need to change and right now.
That is War to Peace
War No More!
Fighting and aide,
We must make it fade.
Let “peace” be the favorite word.
“Stop the supports
And all the cohorts.”
This message’s the one to be heard.
Showing our might
Is not what is right.
All fighting we do is absurd.
Please stop, oh please stop.
Please stop stop stop stop.
Please stop all the fighting right now.
We’ve all had enough
Of this kind of stuff.
Let peace arrive back and then stay.
All war must be done.
It’s good for no one.
It must stop and then go on it’s way.
Not something to win.
To all it’s a sin.
We must put all the violence at bay.
Please stop, oh please stop.
Please stop stop stop stop.
Please stop all the fighting right now.
All killing is bad.
It is very sad.
Make it stop and be done and no more.
The end’s a result
That’s like an insult.
And much worse than it had been before.
There is a main gist.
“That peace must exist.”
Say “good-bye” to all nasty old war!
Now I sadly turn your attention to what started last year and continues today in many places in the world.
Smiles and Laughter
Smiles and laughter, for now and hereafter, always a joy to behold.
The girls show it first and then boy after boy. They spread from our young to the old.
Their games are terrific, nothing specific, just happy from inside to out.
They sing and they dance at any small chance and then end with a jump and a shout!
But wait, what is that? They’re sirens and horns, bangs and many more booms.
To shelters they go, some lined in a row, all heading to big barren rooms.
Playing stopped playing, and all went inside.
Sadness came quickly with nowhere to hide.
Smiles stopped smiling, and tears came instead.
Singing stopped singing and turned to sheer dread.
Fright on their faces, and sorrow showed through.
Children real children, and more than a few.
When? Tell me when will all this war go?
What is the answer? No one does know.
When fighting’s all over and treaties are made.
Memories stay memories that take long to fade.
Trauma runs deep.
Imagine!
There really is another way.
It may be pretend now,
But we can make it real.
Look here …
Peace Came
Peace
came
War
went
Love
came
Anger
went
Flowers
grew
Trees
flourished
Children
played
Parents
prayed
No-one
strayed
Consequences
stayed
World
changed … for real!
Our children and families mean too much to us to have it any other way!
